Get ready for your heart to melt...
Why do kids so enjoy pressing their face up against a pane of glass...perhaps we adults should try it more often...we may be missing out.

A Very Special Picture
Steve and Angie are in Illinois visiting family this week. I told Angie to take lots of good pictures and she is doing a good job of it. This picture above is one that I'll treasure forever. Angie and Steve with my Grandpa Rieger at Dave's Supermarket in Fairbury, IL. I used to go to Daves with Grandma and Grandpa Rieger on evening shopping trips from time to time, I remember these trips so vividly because they always bought me a matchbox car or two. Being far away from home Steve doesn't get to spend much quality time with his family, which makes moments and pictures like this one absolutely priceless.

A GREAT, GREAT Time!
Last weekend we got a visit from three very special people...my Grandma Metz, and her two sisters, Edna, and Wilda Mae. So, Stevie got to spend time with his great grandma and two great, great aunts! What a rare and special opportunity for him and for us. We heard all kinds of great stories and had some good belly laughs, it was a wonderful time.

Our BIG BOY
Last night we were at a gathering of local pastors and while sitting down to dinner I was making conversation with another young pastor who is new in the area, he is married with three kids from 3 months old to 3 years old. He looked down at Stevie who was about four or five chairs down standing on the lap of another pastor and he asked me, "What is he, two and a half, three years old?" I said, "No, he's only one" and the guy about fell out of his chair. He's our BIG BOY!
