Seeing Is Believing!

We knew that you'd never believe this one without a picture...our little Steve is just 3 months 3 weeks old but he's already standing on his own two feet!! All Angie is doing is holding on to Stevie's shirt to make sure he doesn't take a nasty spill, but he's doing it all by himself!

A Picnic in Central Park

We went to Central Park for a picnic today...here's some pictures.

My First Babysitter!

This is a picture of me and Joyce, my very first babysitter! Mom and Dad went to Sioux Falls for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and Joyce took care of me. We had a great time, as you can see from the picture. Mom and Dad had a good time too, but they missed me a lot and ended up buying me some new toys...they can leave me with Joyce anytime they want!

Bathtime Fun!

Here's a picture of Steve and his best friend Marilyn in the bathtub in our hotel room last night. They had lots of fun splashing around together!

Auntie Miranda suggested that Stevie get into baby modeling...so we thought that we'd put him up next to one of the modeling greats, Derek Zoolander, and see how they compare. Stevie calls his look "Baby Steel." (if you didn't see the movie "Zoolander" then parts of this post won't make any sense)

First Family Vacation

Stevie's first time in a Hotel!


We are on our first family vacation in Storm Lake, Iowa! The picture below is the view from our balcony here at King's Pointe Resort. We're having a great time and Stevie is being so good. We are actually here for the Western Iowa Synod's annual Fall Theological Convocation, but it feels a lot like a vacation because it's a pretty laid back event. We've met a lot of great people which makes us feel all the more grounded and at home here in Western Iowa. Stevie's friend Marilyn is here with her parents, Adam and Karen Dichsen. We're going out to dinner with them tonight and then Stevie and Marilyn are going to splash around in the bath together. Woo-Hoo!

Big Sleeper

For about a week and a half little Stevie has been sleeping all through the night! We put him down at nine and he gets up at eight in the morning. In this picture he happens to be sleeping on the bathroom mat right before his bathtime. (don't worry we put him in his crib at night). We have to give a big shout out to Stevie's Aunt Holly (Tony's Sister) who got us on this new schedule! Thanks Hol! Holly is currently pregnant with her fourth child and is due October 1st! Stevie is going to be a BIG Cousin!

My New Friend Lyle

Thanks for visiting us last weekend Lyle. Stevie really enjoyed meeting you. For those of you who don't know Lyle, he and I graduated from LSTC together this last May. He stopped by Sioux Center on his way back to Chicago from Minot, ND. It was so good to see you Lyle!

Me n' My Friend Marilyn

This is me and my first friend, Marilyn Dichsen the first day that I got home from the Hospital. I was born on June, 10th. Marilyn was born on June 6th, which was MY due date!

As you can see we have come a long way! I visited her at her new house in Dayton Iowa this weekend. Her dad, Adam started his internship at Emanuel Lutheran church in Dayton.

We had a great time staring at each other in our Bumbos.

This is Adam and Karen, Marilyn's mom and dad. They were really nice to me. Marilyn's a pretty lucky kid.

Rollin' Over and Finding my Toes...

This is a picture of Stevie just as he is about to ROLL OVER for the first time! Ang put him on his blanket for some tummy time today and the next thing she knew he was on his back! He's getting so big and strong.

That wasn't the only big development in Stevie's life today. Tonight during bath time he found his toes! He couldn't stop playing with them once he discovered them. I'm sure he will eventually figure out how to get them in his mouth.

Who knows what he'll do next!
